The 16 of April 2020

After a sleepless night and with a heavy heart I’ve come to the decision to postpone the 14. Danish Morini Meeting indefinitely.

I had hoped that our governments and authorities after easter would open our societies a bit more or at least present a more detailed plan, so I would be able to present a new date for the meeting. Sadly, it isn’t so.

The danish borders are closed at least until the 10 of Mai - as well as public crowds of more than ten people are prohibited. That much is certain, but it’s still unclear if there after this date will be restrictions that will make it impossible to hold a meeting. Also I have to consider that some people might have reservations towards “large” gatherings - even with no restrictions.

I’m therefore not keen on postponing the meeting to immediately after a possible border opening. Even later will be problematic because of the potential overlap with other Morini and motorcycle events.
Preparation is also an issue both for me and attendants, so I’m not keen on a short notice either.

Therefore, my idea is to try to establish an event late summer / early fall. I will try to avoid collision with other events. Some of the yearly big events have been cancelled completely though, which actually opens for possibilities for a date.
I will try to present this alternative as soon as possible.
